After a few months out of the hobby its nice to get back into my old ways. It was an early start to the day but well worth it. It wasnt the best day for photography, so theres no surprise why there was more bashing done than picture taking. The DRS open gave us another excuse to do a Carlisle over night. Nothing out the ordinary turned up just the normal flow. Big thanks to the lads for the laughs.

The weather couldnt have been better for a trip to the ELR diesel gala for a spot of haulage. there was lots of thrash and a few nice pics turned up. Huge thanks to Jerry,Anth and Dek for a fantasic day out!

The first Carlisle over night this year! The night produced a steady flow of the normal freight. unfortunately there was no EE action, but a good night all around. Thanks must go to the Virgin Train staff for allowing us to stay on the station.

At last the first collection taken with my new Nikon D60. I didnt intend on gong on the charter but at 15 quid a ticket i couldnt resist. The weather was full sun at Durham, but when we arrived at york it was full dull and raining.

While on holiday in oxfordshire, i popped in to the Pendon museum, i was amazed at the pure size and detail of the model layouts. Pictures in this collection are from the The Vale Scene, The Dartmoor Scene and the The Madder Valley.

Here is my little week end project which i have been working on over the past few months. For those who dont know it is a NER half mile post. It was found in a ditch whilst i was walking the dog. it had very bad surface rust but after a bit of TLC she is looking great. So here is Big Betty, pride of place in the back garden!
